Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI / SQL / Python Developer to support data analytics, reporting, and automation initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and alignment with Pacific Standard Time (PST) working hours.

The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in Power BI, solid programming and data fundamentals, and hands-on experience with ETL pipelines and cloud-based data workflows. A proactive mindset toward automation and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Build and support ETL processes for data ingestion, transformation, and preparation
  • Write and maintain Python scripts for data processing and automation
  • Develop, optimize, and manage SQL queries for analytics and reporting
  • Work with cloud-based data services and data staging workflows
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency improvements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and present insights effectively
  • Support analytics and automation (including agentic workflows) initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, and visualization design)
  • Solid programming and data fundamentals, including:
    • Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably Python)
    • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
  • Hands-on experience with ETL processes and tools, including:
    • Python scripting
    • SQL
    • AWS Athena
    • AWS Glue
    • Amazon S3 for data staging
  • Experience working with both structured and semi-structured data
  • Ability to work independently in a remote/offshore environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Power Automate
  • Exposure to or strong interest in automation and agentic workflows
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale analytics programs (e.g., utilities or regulated industries)

Additional Requirements

  • Must be available to work PST hours
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable collaborating with US-based teams
